The SPCA does some amazing work on behalf of our animal friends all over the globe. They have many wonderful programs, one of which helps both animals and people. Imagine being a soldier on the battlefield and finding comfort and friendship in a dog. Then imagine knowing that you will have to leave that dog behind, in awful conditions. Operation Baghdad Pups provides veterinary care and coordinates complicated logistics and transportation requirements in order to reunite these beloved pets with their service men and women back in the U.S.A. With the work that the SPCA does, soldiers who connect with animals in war zones, often get the chance to reconnect with them when they return home from service.

We think this is an amazing mission! Get a tissue handy, because this video will touch your hearts.

And just a note to all you cat lovers out there, they have rescued cats as well! See all the success stories here.
