Alison Sweeney, host of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser,” discovered that her dog Winky was one of them, and pledged to the food Winky was eating and her lifestyle. She has now teamed up with Hill’s Science Diet to launch the Million Pound Pledge – a national call-to-action for pet owners to help their cats and dogs lose weight and get back on track to living a happy, healthy lifestyle. We think this is awesome!

To be honest, I have never seen the HBO show True Blood, and I probably never will. However, when I found out that one of the show’s cast members is a big animal lover, I had to share this information with you!

Right now on TrueBloodFanSource.com they are celebrating Kristin Bauer’s upcoming birthday with a big giveaway and fundraiser for The Amanda Foundation, an animal rescue organization that rescues and cares for dogs and cats until they can be placed with new families.

Fans and animal lovers can donate to the foundation and be entered into a drawing for a lot of fun True Blood prizes.

At the end of the donation period, all of the money will be given to the Amanda Foundation in Kristin’s name as a gift to her. Everyone who donates will also have their name signed to a birthday card for her.

The goal is to make $5000 for this wonderful rescue group! Learn all about it, and donate to the cause here.
