Fun Time Dog Shop is a brand new online shop for modern pets (and people)! It’s stocked full of high quality dog treats, interactive toys & accessories and artistic dog themed products. But the truly special part is all profits from the shop are donated to non-profit dog rescue groups!

As soon as I found out about the shop I went right over and found so many cute items. If I hadn’t been on a budget, I would have bought so many more things! I got the cutest little Maltese Palm Puppy and an awesome bracelet. Knowing that not only was I going to have some fun new items in my life, but also that all my money was going to a great cause, made me very happy to shop there.

Palm Puppies are individually handmade, plush puppies that are small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Approximately 4″ to the top of the head, each puppy is hand sewn of wool blend felt and/or man made fur, polyfil, safety eyes, ribbon, & wire.

The talented artist, Nhi, who created Palm Puppies, carefully constructs each puppy individually and says “I spend a lot of time on the design of each breed to make sure I’ve captured the essence of each of them”. Lucky Me
A Children’s Guide to Animal Companionship and Safety

Lucky Me is a great book for parents, teachers, veterinarians. It is written to help children know how to take care of a new pet. Christi Drue Dunlap makes it easy with her thoughtful and instructive book that features sweet-but-smart text, children and parents alike learn how to care for and keep their new pets happy, safe and secure.

Told from the point-of-view of Rocky, an absolutely adorable rescued pug, this book will show children what it feels like to be a pet without a home; what the inside of a Humane Society looks like; ways to make sure your new pet feels at home, right away; and how animals tell us what they like and what they don’t. Told with a lot of heart and over 14 practical tips, LUCKY ME features heartwarming, up-close photographs of seven dogs and three cats: Rocky the Pug, Martha the Bernese Mountain Dog, Bogard the Vizsla, Belle the Lewellen Setter, Durham the Great Dane/Pitbull Mix, Puck the Cairn Terrier Mix, Harry the Poodle/Bichon Frise Mix and Oliver the Domestic Long-Haired Cat, Gherkin the Domestic Short-Haired Cat and Serena the Calico Domestic Short-Haired Cat.

Children learn that, for example, Durham shouldn’t be bothered while he eats because he might growl. Gherkin hisses when she is nervous and doesn’t want to be touched. And Puck wags his tail to show you he’s happy and ready to play.

Children are also reminded to, for instance:

1. Keep your new dog on a leash because it will keep him or her safe from getting lost, being hit by a car, getting in fights or catching diseases from other animals.
2. Be sure to license your new pet because if your dog or cat gets lost, the Humane Society can find you.
3. If a loose dog comes toward you, act like a tree or, if you are already on the ground, act like a rock. Trees and rocks don’t talk or move. The loose dog should get bored and move on.

Also included in the book are online resources and a certificate that reads:

_________________ (animal’s name). I will provide him/her with food, water, shelter and love. I will always keep him/her safe. Signed, __________ (child’s signature)”
