Dog is Good, one of our personal favorites for gifts and apparel for dog lovers, will host The BOLO Project Puppy Shower to benefit Leader Dogs for the Blind from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 at the Waterfront Hilton Resort in Huntington Beach, Calif.
Special features at the event include a meet and greet opportunity with BOLO, the future leader dog; auditions to be a star on DOGTV, the first television channel scientifically designed for dogs; a Pamper Your Pooch Station hosted by Posh Pooch Grooming; a Halloween Costume Contest, a Kids Coloring and Activity Center, silent auction, raffles, and food and party favors for everyone in attendance. To find out more about the event and to register, please visit The BOLO Project website.
The BOLO Project, a year-long fundraiser to benefit Leader Dogs for the Blind, officially launched on Oct. 1, 2013. Created by Dog is Good, The BOLO Project is designed to raise awareness of the remarkable work dogs do for people every day. It will follow the journey of one puppy as she is trained to become a Leader Dog (more often referred to as a guide dog).
“We have limited space available and encourage everyone to pre-register for the event to ensure access,” said Lisa Scolman, event organizer and owner of Book That Event.
Presenting Sponsors of the event include The Office Depot Foundation, The Waterfront Beach Resort – a Hilton Resort and Dog is Good. Contributing Sponsors include Kurgo, John Paul Pet, DOGTV, Posh Pooch, Book that Event, Moda Pets, Otto Step and Kong.
To find fun items for yourself or for gift giving, be sure to check out the Dog is Good website. I have two of their shirts that I adore, I think you will love them too. And to find out more about who they are supporting with The Bolo Project, be sure to visit the Leader Dog website.
I wish we could join the fun at the Puppy Shower! If you are going to attend, let us know! We would love to hear all about it.
