Arthur The Dog Who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home

I was provided a copy of the book Arthur for my review, and the publisher is providing copies for our giveaway.

Do you remember the news story not so long ago about a plucky little dog who joined a team of extreme racers in the jungle? The little dog joined them along the crazy terrain, even jumping in after them during a section of the race that required a kayak! Well, you may already know what happened, but this book tells the full story about the little dog named Arthur who traveled more than 100 miles to find a new home.

Even knowing the story ends happily (you know this right from the start of the book), there were still moments when I worried about the outcome and what would become of this brave dog! The story of Arthur takes us into the world of adventure racing, which is a grueling, body punishing, world!

Mikael Lindnord is the captain of a Swedish racing team on a 435 mile race through the jungles and mountains of South America. One afternoon while they are at a check point he sees a scruffy, but oddly calm and peaceful looking, dog. Little did he know this pup would adopt him as his own and follow along the rest of their journey.

Mikael decided he would save the dog, now named Arthur, and bring home to Sweden, whatever it took. It wasn’t going to be easy though! Making through the jungle was just the beginning!

A super fun and interesting read, Arthur is a story that once again shows the bond between dogs and people. If the story captivated you and made you smile when you first read about it online, you will want to read the full story!

Luckily, we have 3 copies to give away to our readers. This giveaway is open to those in the USA and Canada. The book releases today if you would like to order your own copy, you can do so here.

My favorite book about a dog is Fluke by James Herbert. I read it years ago as a young teenager. I though it was going to be a horror story, like his famous Rats and Fog – both turned into movies. But Fluke was a different animal altogether.
