Big Miracle is a film inspired by the true story of a small town news reporter (played by John Krasinski) and an animal-loving volunteer (played by Drew Barrymore) who are joined by rival world superpowers to save a family of majestic gray whales trapped by rapidly forming ice in the Arctic Circle. I have to admit, the trailer (which you can see below) makes me so excited to see it!
About the story: Local newsman Adam Carlson (Krasinski) can’t wait to escape the northern tip of Alaska for a bigger market. But just when the story of his career breaks, the world comes chasing it, too. With an oil tycoon, heads of state and hungry journalists descending upon the frigid outpost, the one who worries Adam the most is Rachel Kramer (Barrymore). Not only is she an outspoken environmentalist, she’s also his ex-girlfriend.
With time running out, Rachel and Adam must rally an unlikely coalition of Inuit natives, oil companies and Russian and American military to set aside their differences and free the whales. As the world’s attention turns to the top of the globe, saving these endangered animals becomes a shared cause for nations entrenched against one another and leads to a momentary thaw in the Cold War.

I love this type of movie and would love to see it int he theater when it opens. Winning the ticket would be fabulous. I would take my great nephew to see it and he would get the stuffed toy too.

Whales have been a huge part of my life since I was very little due to my father. He brought my 2 sisters & I on whale watches when we were young and we all share the same awe. My mother also enjoys whales whether in a painting, book or in 1 of the many photos she’s taken of the gentle giants. My husband & I now pass our love for these animals down to our 2 children. The moment I saw the trailer for this movie, I plead with my husband to go see it in the theater! We usually don’t treat ourselves to movies when they’re still in the theater but this 1′s worth it! <3-ing Big Miracle Thank you

I love inspirational true stories and animal movies. I loved Dolphin Tale just as much as Babe and Homeward Bound. I’m a big Drew Barrymore fan and also a nature lover, friend of wildlife and believer in animal rights. The trailer made me look up Greenpeace opportunities in my city
