We love Halloween at our house, so we were very excited to hear about this great way to help big cats this year! The Trick-or-Treat for Big Cats initiative, from National Geographic, combines a fun activity kids love with the opportunity to learn more about and make a difference in the environment.
Did you know that lions, tigers and other felines are vanishing at an alarming rate? There are more tigers in captivity than in the wild! Doesn’t that just sound wrong? Did you know that the Amur leopard is one of the most endangered animals in the world? Let’s help ensure that big cats make a comeback. It would be a shame to live in a world without these majestic animals.
By taking part in the Trick-or-Treat for Big Cats program, kids can “Cause An Uproar” by collecting change with their candy to save these incredible animals.
