Have you hugged your dog today? It’s National Dog Day, so why not celebrate by spoiling your dog a bit more than usual today! We sure love our dog, and all dogs really. To celebrate National Dog Day we have been encouraging everyone who follows us on Twitter to hug their dog! No dog to hug? There are TONS of amazing dogs (and other animals) just waiting in shelters and rescues. Please consider adopting if you can.
We recently found a great product (though we haven’t had a chance to try it personally) that we think every dog owner should consider owning. It’s a Dog Emergency Preparedness kit. With the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, and other disasters, it’s important to include your dog in your emergency plans. This kit comes with everything you need to make sure your dog is cared for in case of an emergency.
Be sure to keep plenty of food for your pets, and also additional water for them, as part of your emergency supply. Hopefully you have already considered your pets in your plans, but if not, today is a great day to think about it!
