Carrot Cake for Dogs
I was happy to find this article in my inbox recently! Carrot cake, for dogs! Our dog LOVES carrots, and I think that this recipe sounds pretty tasty (I think that people might like it just as much as the dogs)! The recipe is part of an article on Guideposts, click here to read the whole thing.
Doggie Carrot Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon soy flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼-½ cup peanut butter (smooth or chunky)
1 egg
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup honey
1 cup baby carrots, grated or ground
Preparation
- 1. Combine flours, baking soda and peanut butter.
2. Mix in egg, oil, vanilla, honey and carrots until well combined.
3. Pour mixture into a 9×9-inch cake pan.
4. Bake at 325°F for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool completely.
