Sure it’s love, but can you afford it?

This is a great reminder post from Kristen Sullivan, a writer on the FiLife website. We’ve all been there, looking at those puppy eyes, or into the eyes of any adorable pet we may fall for. Sometimes it’s hard to think about the future costs of owning a pet when you are falling in love with that little face! She offers some good things to think about.

While many of us don’t wholly base our decisions to expand our families (or not) on finances, it’s important to understand how a pet will impact your budget. By doing so, you can make sure you’re prepared for the unexpected – say your dog swallows his plastic toys or you lose your job. Your relationship will be healthier for it.
