Custom Pet Portraits from Little Tank

Recently, we got a pet portrait from Little Tank. You may remember that our dear little rat Yoshi crossed the rainbow bridge in February, so getting a fun portrait of her means so much to us! Not only is it a fun way to remember our sweet pet who passed, but it’s also a really fun style of painting that looks great in our space! We could not ask for more.

Here is a little bit more about Little Tank and why they do what they do:

Hi I’m Little Tank. A pet friendly, custom pet portrait painting shop, baste in New York City. Growing up I enjoyed the company of animals and am the owner, more like they own me, of a mini pin named Tank (sound familiar), a black cat named Mishu and an aquarium.

Besides spoiling my pets I also draw. I’ve been an artist all my life and basically one day, I got the idea of combining my love of animals and art and started making portraits. I believe they should be loved and appreciated just like everyone else. Our pets are a part of our family and they should be treated as such.

Besides portraits, if you have any ideas,or projects maybe for a birthday or holiday you would like me to do with the same type of artwork, let me know. I’m open to every ones ideas and we can work something out. So, come on by, even if it’s just to chat, and remember, there is no pet to furry, scaly, creepy or slimy. All photos/pets are welcomed!

Here is another closer photo of our painting. It was taken from our absolute favorite photo of Yoshi, which is featured on the sidebar of this website actually!

If you have ever considered capturing one of your pets in a portrait, Little Tank is a great choice. We love the size, a 16×20 art canvas, with paint on the sides as well so you can hang it (as we did) without a frame if you like. We were also impressed at the speed that our portrait arrived, and although ours was a gift, we think that the price ($39.99) is a great value for a one of a kind art piece. The artist also let us choose our colors, and gave us some options of what our painting could look like before we decided on the final painting.

Visit Little Tank to see a lot of other fun examples of pet portraits! They paint all kinds of pets!
