is an awesome resource for all dog owners. If you have a dog, you need this book! It’s small enough to keep with you if you wanted, but jam packed with great information. Everything from how to give your dog CPR, to how to puppy proof your home. Those aren’t all though, it talks about barking, indoor marking, how to get out skunk smell, how to protect yourself from a vicious dog, and even how to rescue a drowning dog! The great information just goes on and on, it’s hard to believe that it’s a pocket sized book, but it is!

Entry #2 for a book I really need.
This would be great to win. We have a small min pin, but the first Saturday in September we are getting a dog trained by a woman prisoner in a town nearby. The prison uses these dogs to help the women learn how to train dogs and thereby learn self control themselves. You pay for the dog, about $450 for the one we wanted. This pays for the dogs vaccinations, food, vet care etc., while they are being trained, and then about half the money goes to the prisoner. The prisoners money is held to be there when they transition back into society through a group home, or if they are court ordered to pay restitution for a crime it goes there. We meet with the dog that we are going to get one month ago. He’s a great looking German Shepherd Mix.
I wonder if it has advise on how to keep a Aussie puppy from going crazy in the house?
