Bring Pets Home

Shop ‘til you drop in support of animal shelters, then get together with friends to share stories, advice and even pictures – all online. That’s the goal of the newly launched The fund raising Web site also offers exclusive content for cat and dog owners which includes information on pet care and safety, information on animal shelters, as well blogs, groups and open forums.

The site’s primary purpose is to raise money to help shelters care for homeless pets. It serves as an online portal where visitors can access more than 150 major online retailers, like Amazon, Sephora, Wal-Mart, iTunes, and many more. To raise money, online shoppers register at to select a shelter to support, then click-through to the merchant of choice. Each retailer specifies a percent commission on the Web site and donates that percentage of the purchase to Bring Pets Home. There is no additional cost to the consumer.

Every year, six to eight million animals enter U. S. shelters. According to the ASPCA, as many as one million additional dogs and cats are in danger of losing their homes in 2009, at a time when fewer donations are coming in. All need food, shelter, and medical care, so that they have the chance to be reunited with their original owners or adopted into caring, permanent homes.

“Bring Pets Home is a great way for pet lovers to raise money to help homeless animals without ever leaving home—and at no cost to them,” says Linda Block of Bring Pets Home. “More pets are entering shelters, but donors’ purse strings have tightened. Anyone can help by simply remembering to visit to click-through to a favorite online merchant whenever shopping online.“

It all started from one cat… It was a very cold winter last year, I went for the work and found the little cat on the road. She was so small, frozen and scared, I just picked her up and bring in the office. The cat’s bought hands were broken and dry, I still can’t beleave, how come someone could do this to her!!! But still, the cat needed help really badly! A called the doctor, which done a sergerry for her (he cut her hands cause there was no other way to save her life!). I took her home and named Moris. She is so smart even she walks on two lags as a human. A little wile My frands brings a dog with no eys! and after that one more cat without lags… All this stafe was made by PEOPLE!!! I cryed so much about all the animals aroung cause the piople hirt them a lot! I bye a little peace af land and old broken hous for thoos 12 cats and dogs I have now. Every day some one brings me animals with a broken hels, no one needs them cause they doesn’t look good. No one helps me to bye them food and medicine… NO ONE. I live in Russia in the cold Yakutsk, the winter is so close, and every day I keep baging a God to help me out and let thoos animals stay alife. Nobody needs to take care of them here and I dont have anough money to fix the hous and by a good food for them. Please, if your hart is still hot, help us out! Even a dollar means so much to us. even a penny. I can’t fite with all the problems around by myself anymore! Save one cat or one dog and God bless you forever.
