Birdyparadise.com
You may know that we are owned by a cockatiel, so of course when Liz wrote about her site, Birdy Paradise, I just had to invite her to guest blog about it.
Start of guest post:
Hi there!
I’m very pleased to meet you all. My name is Liz and I’m a guest blogger from birdyparadise.com. Aimee offered me the opportunity to write something up for her, and here I am!
So birdyparadise, huh? ‘Nother one of those pet blogs? Well, yes. The hubby and I like birds. We like ‘em a lot.
Right now, this little blog of ours is in its infancy. We’ve got bits of this and that – and maybe, just maybe – put together, it’s a whole lot of nothing in particular. And where exactly am I going with this? Quite frankly, it’s hard to say. Traversing the blog landscape will certainly be an adventure. Sure, it would be nice to make some money in the process, but realistically speaking, we don’t see that happening. It’s really just a personal project. What can we say? Birds are great, and there’s nothing unusual about the fact that we’d like to connect to others who share our passion.
Bird-representation in the pet bloggers’ community (as it stands today) is underwhelming, to say the least. We just want to give our feathered friends a fighting chance. So whether you’re a devotee of the majestic macaw, or humble ‘keet (who’s actually not likely to be humble at all!), we’d like to get to know you. Whether you’re looking for a laugh, or interested in sharing something of your own, you’re more than welcome to hop on over.
We can’t promise that every post will make you tear up from laughter, but we can promise to do our best to put a smile on your face (if only for a brief moment). And we’re not trying to convert any of you mammal-lovers out there, we just want to show you that birds can be pretty amazing, too.
So drop on by if you’ve got the time or the desire. And don’t forget to check out our budgies’ profiles in the About section – they’re really pretty thrilled with the prospect of being “famous” online!
Wishing you and your pets well,
Liz (and Puffles…and Fifi…and Bubu)
