Bailey, the adorable dog from My Fire Hydrant, had surgery for cancer in December of 2005. They said that she would only have 6 months to live. Well, Bailey sure showed them! She will be 13 years old on March 11!
To celebrate, Bailey is having an online birthday party, but this isn’t just any party! It’s an event to help inspire people to make contributions to your favorite local animal shelter or pet rescue group. These contributions can be donating food or other goods they may need (contact them first to find out), volunteering with your time in some way, or simply writing a check.
Visit My Fire Hydrant on March 11, and post a comment letting Baily know your plans, or what you did for your local shelter/rescue to celebrate Bailey’s Big 13! You can also post photos and videos to Flickr, with the tag baileysbd, showing you and/or your pet in birthday hats and a party attitude.
