The wonderful owner of Noisy Dog Studio is doing a project for 2009 and your dog could be part of it! What is the project you ask? Here is the information from her website:
Call for Photos of Your Dog : My 2009 Project
I am looking to paint all the wonderful dogs out there: big, small, furry and not so furry. I especially want to paint rescued and adopted dogs.
Please submit your photos for consideration. From the photos I receive, I will paint a selection of portraits. Please note – there is no obligation to purchase a portrait.
From the number of portraits I create, I will select twelve to be featured in my upcoming 2010 calendar. I’m also creating a compilation book that will feature all the paintings, and will be available for purchase in the Fall of 2009.
Interested in submitting your dog for consideration? I need at least one good, clear photo of your dog’s face. The clearer the photos, the better the painting. The best photos are shot without using a flash. I suggest getting up close to your dog on their level, and let their face fill the entire camera frame.
Please include stories about your dog. His/her background, how you found him/her, why you adopted him/her, his/her personality likes dislikes. etc., – anything you want to share with me. I love hearing all dog stories! I will incorporate parts of your stories in the book along with the painting.
How it works: I will let you know when I receive your photo and stories, and I will email you, when I start the painting. I will also post photos on my blog and twitterfeed, charting the progress of the painting. It will be fun for you to see the painting come to life.
The finished painting will be posted on my blog and be available for purchase. You will have first choice to buy the painting, but if you are not interested, the painting will go up for sale to the general public. Prints will also be available for purchase.
Ten percent of purchases from this year-long project, includes paintings, prints, calendars and books, will be donated to A Place to Bark Animal Rescue, Bernie Berlin’s amazing sanctuary in Tennessee. You can find out more at A Place to Bark
Please email photos, stories and any questions to: LEIGHJACKS@GMAIL.COM
Please forward to all your dog- loving family, friends and rescue groups!
Can’t wait to see all your dogs!
You can bet that we will be sending in our sweet Maltese for consideration, and saving our pennies in hopes of buying her portrait. What a great way to help dogs and spread the word for animal rescue (plus, who doesn’t love original art work). Tell your dog owning friends to join the fun too!

SOOOOOOO COOOOOOL! Even though I’m not adopted I think I have a good story to share! Thanks for this info Aimee!
