Thank you for the great feedback! I noticed that I had a little typo on the Happy Hound link for shelters. The link should be http://www.happyhoundbook.com/shelters.htm. You'd probably find the page anyway, but just in case.
(It was my typo, not Aimee's!)

If you think of other ways I can help you earn more via fundraising or education so you can help the critters, please let me know.

And I agree that a lot of "teenager" cats and dogs are the ones that are dropped off. Like people, cats and dogs go through adolescence, which is not their most pleasant age ;-)

They aren't adorable tiny puppies and kittens anymore and they start testing limits, which is exactly when people SHOULD be working on training etc.. Instead, people decide that the "teenager" is just to hard to deal with and drop off the animal. I'm hoping that with more information on responsible pet care, we can reduce those numbers.

I must agree that it is a heart-breaking experience when an animal is taken in to a shelter.
In my experience, I have found that most people just don't want the cat or dog anymore because it's not a "baby." People think puppies and kittens are so cute but when these babies grow into adults they get pawned off at shelters. People just don't care that the animals have feelings, too. Most animals feel they did something wrong when they get dropped off at a lonely shelter...

Thanks for the affiliate link; I will definitely be purchasing your books.
