Saving Shelter Pets: Part two!
The contest that Saving Shelter Pets is taking part of ends soon. They need your help to get the most donations! SixDegrees (Kevin Bacon’s online charitable initiative) and Hanes, sponsor the contest, and the six charities who collect the highest NUMBER of donations will win a matching funds grant for up to $10,000. With just 9 days left in the contest (it ends 9/16), they are currently in 2nd, with a little over 300 donations) – but all the other charities in the contest are working VERY hard to collect donations for their causes. The competition is heating up!
They would REALLY appreciate your support in the final days of this contest. A small donation will help us save a homeless pet’s life! AND it will help them get the matching funds grant too, with just a $10 donation to Saving Shelter Pets.

Saving Shelter Pets is a great organization and deserves all your support. They have a wonderful shelter puppy intervention program called Puppy Promise and have found safe haven for many, many animals. Your $10 donation through 6 Degrees could get them $10,000.
Saving Shelter Pets is a wonderful organization – all volunteers, so 100% of any donation goes to saving the animals. They publish funds accounting on their website too, so there’s never a question of how the money was spent. The 6 Degrees contest lets you designate how you want your money used – pulling a particular dog or cat, spay / neuter, or medical treatment for HW+ dogs. Please everyone, if you haven’t donated, just $10 can save a life!!
Saving Shelter Pets is really an awesome group. I have been involved in transports and fund raising for them and I have never seen a more selfless and dedicated goup of people. I also have SSP to thank for two valuable members of my household, Autumn and Riley. Thanks so much for helping out, every penny counts.
