I've recently become a blogging chick and have set myself a challenge to comment on as many Blogging Chick blogs as I can. So that's why I'm here. ;) I agree this is a great idea. I don't think we humans ever forget a pet we loved. Maybe there should be like a day each year, like a pet memorial day? I look at a lot of blogs, just so you know this is one of the better looking ones I've seen lately. So often a pet will go over the rainbow bridge, and the hooman will be sad for a long time, but other hoomans will expect them to 'get over it' quickly. But they don't, because they lost a furr-end. So they push it down.
